Day of Silence

Speaking of movements and laws raising awareness of the harassment of LGBTQ students and people in general, the Day of Silence is rapidly approaching on the 17th. I will do a post about it but it would be even more awesome if someone else wanted to write about it. Perhaps someone who participated last year? Or someone who plans to participate this year.

Email me your piece about the Day of Silence to gwebbies@gmail.com

I'm going to be away then, but I'll be in Madison, so I'm sure I'll see something about it going on! I've never participated in the Day of Silence but I've heard a little bit about it and it sounds really cool. Could you tell me some more?

Last year, a good 40-something classmates and I all wore tape across our mouths that said day of silence on them so teachers and stuff would know why we werent answering questions.

Also I forgot to mention, if you or your parents don't feel comfortable having you email us your articles, you could create a separate email on gmail or another free email host, and send us your work that way. Just be sure to tell us your name on the blog.
